Serving the International Communities Around Us Since Day One
Hudson Valley Credit Union is committed to serving the communities within our marketplace,
as this has been a founding principle since our inception. We are truly committed to finding the right financial solutions
to aid businesses in their growth and in the fulfillment of their dreams. Understanding and helping improve the communities where our employees live
and work is an important component to our success and our mission.
To further this community responsibility, the Bank works closely with the Economic Development Lending Initiative to
help fund loans to businesses that might not otherwise qualify for traditional credit.
As a key sponsor and partner with the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC), Hudson Valley Credit Union was
the first bank to fund a loan through our partnership. The Bank works closely with the SBDC and businesses seeking
financial training, technical assistance and resources. Going forward we are committed to partnering with them for a
Technical Assistance grant through the US Development Financial Institution (USDFI)
to provide much-needed training for small business owners to help them be successful.
Hudson Valley Credit Union also provides funding for low-income housing projects in our service area through investment in qualified Community Reinvestment Act bonds. This allows us to channel funds back into the community for much-needed services.
Hudson Valley Credit Union is especially proud of our management and staff who dedicate many hours to worthwhile service organizations throughout the year, helping local business groups, neighborhood improvement councils, youth and family organizations, and local police departments.
We believe you can’t truly serve a community unless you’re part of it. Our commitment to the needs of our communities is an important part of our philosophy. Reaching out to the community and promoting financial education remains a primary focus for Hudson Valley Credit Union.
